How AI agents can be effectively integrated into existing IAM structures<\/h2>

AI agents<\/strong><\/span> are gradually becoming part of everyday life in many companies. Initially often intended as assistants, they are increasingly taking on specific tasks: they analyse data, prepare decisions or access systems themselves<\/strong><\/span>. <\/p>

It is at this point, if not before, that things get interesting \u2013 and also critical. For as soon as an AI agent takes action, the question inevitably arises: <\/p>

Under which permissions does this actually happen?<\/h4>

This is precisely where it becomes clear that traditional approaches to identity and access management are not necessarily sufficient. We would like to take this opportunity to introduce MAIA: Managed AI Agent<\/span>
<\/strong><\/h3>

In IDABUS, this problem is solved using a proprietary approach. The key term here is MAIA \u2013 Managed AI Agent.<\/span> <\/p>

MAIA is essentially nothing more than an AI agent that does not exist \u2018freely\u2019 within the system, but is deliberately managed. It is given its own identity, is assigned to a real person, and is granted its permissions not at random, but according to clearly defined rules. <\/p>

Why connecting with a real person is so important<\/span><\/h3>

A key component of the model is the link to a so-called owner. This means that there is always a real person behind every MAIA. <\/p>

This is not a technical detail, but rather an organisational decision. It ensures that it is clear who is responsible \u2013 both from a technical and a governance perspective. <\/p>

In practice, this offers several advantages:<\/p>
