MIM end of 2029:
Why you should act now

The year 2029 will see the end of support for the Microsoft Sync Engine, and many of our customers are already preparing for this. What may still sound a long way off is already relevant and of great importance for strategic IAM architecture today.
However, such a far-reaching decision also always brings with it opportunities. Opportunities to rethink and modernise one’s own infrastructure, to seamlessly integrate hybrid and cloud environments, and in doing so not to lose sight of scalability from the outset – for these are crucial factors for the organisation’s overall security.
To make the most of investments already made, we are currently developing IDABUS Sync. A sync engine that is fully compatible with the existing MIM Sync. Modular, scalable and future-proof.
Because the question isn’t whether you’ll replace MIM – but whether you’ll retain control over the timing.
It is scheduled to be available by the end of 2027, so there is plenty of time to consider the strategic implications and avoid making hasty decisions under pressure.
At our summit on 3 and 4 September IDABUS Sync will be presented in more detail. If you don’t want to miss this, you can still secure your place now.
Happy Easter 🐣

The Easter season symbolises new beginnings, renewed energy and looking ahead.
A good opportunity to pause, reflect on what has been achieved and let new ideas take shape.
These moments are particularly valuable, especially at a time when identity architectures are evolving and strategic decisions are becoming increasingly important.
We would like to thank you very much for your trust and for working with us as partners.
Together, we’ll shape the future of your identity landscape – step by step.
Enjoy the holidays, recharge your batteries and stay healthy.
Wishing you a Happy Easter
