MIM Advanced Training (A621)

The following contents are taught:

• Manage users, groups, policies and credentials using the MIM portal
• Configure the portal to manage additional resource types, change the appearance and customize forms and navigation
• Master more complex workflows and management policy rules (MPRs) including time-based MPRs and third-party custom workflows
• Master both classic and portal-based synchronization with rule extensions if required (a minimum of programming is required for this)
• Understand how an implementation is operated, how errors are corrected, how data backups and disaster recovery can be carried out
• Understand the different technical architectures and installation topologies of MIM
• Implement standard reporting

Obligations to cooperate and provide materials:

Participants must fulfill the following requirements:

• Provision of one training computer / notebook with a resolution of at least 1024×768 pixels (1920×1080 pixels recommended)

The face-to-face event takes place in Erding. The participation fee includes the following services:

• 4 days of training including access to the virtual training environment (the course starts on Monday at 10:00 and ends on Thursday at approx. 16:00)
• Course materials (English training materials in digital form)
• Catering (lunch, coffee breaks)

Please note the technical requirements for our in-house and online training courses:

• Stable Internet connection (at least 4 Mbit)
• Training computer (the training computer should be state of the art) and for online participation additionally with the Microsoft Teams application (if Teams is not installed on the computer, participation can take place via the Microsoft Edge or Chrome browser)
• A total of two screens, as training documents are provided digitally
• Headset and camera for online participation
• Online access to training environment (virtual server), should be checked before training begins
• Download training documents in advance according to separate mail

At the Hotel Linner in Erding you have the opportunity to book rooms at Oxford conditions. The cost of an overnight stay including breakfast is EUR 82. Please note that the price is not valid during the Oktoberfest, Erding Autumn Festival and for the duration of well-known trade fairs at the New Munich Trade Fair Center.

This course is aimed at all interested parties from the fields of systems engineering, development, system architecture and project management who want to develop an in-depth understanding of the implementation possibilities of MIM. As a rule, participants have already attended the MIM Foundation course or have previous knowledge at a similar level.
