Training description
This 4-day Microsoft Entra ID training course is aimed at IT support staff, IT consultants and architects, pre-sales staff, tech-savvy business decision-makers and department heads who want to know:
- How to configure and implement Microsoft Entra ID Connect to synchronize local users and groups with Microsoft Entra ID
- How to securely integrate SaaS applications and local applications
- How to implement self-service password reset and self-service group management
- How to configure conditional access (for both cloud apps and on-premises apps) to evaluate user requests and allow, deny or enforce multi-factor authentication (MFA) based on factors such as the user’s identity, risk level and location
- How to monitor user risks based on behavioral analysis or similar
- How to restrict access to privileged roles
It includes presentations, discussions, demonstrations and over 50 practical exercises!
These exercises – which are crucial for a proper understanding of the topics covered – have been designed to be as realistic as possible. They are complex and reflect problems you will encounter and have to solve in the real world. For example, participants will fully implement a real domain purchase with public email and real certificates for single sign-on. Participants can keep this sandbox environment for later use.
At the end of the course, participants will be able to
- Perform synchronization of on-premises AD information with Microsoft Entra ID using Microsoft Entra ID Connect, including users and groups, with authentication options
- Monitor Microsoft Entra ID Connect
- Assign licenses directly and via groups (cloud and on-premises)
- Configure various self-service functions such as self-service password registration, self-service password reset, self-service group management and self-service application management
- Implement cloud MFA and use it for step-up authentication for sensitive applications and to protect key accounts
- Publish local applications securely in the cloud
- Provide SaaS applications with authentication
- Use identity security functions of Microsoft Entra ID, such as Privileged Identity Management and Identity Protection
- Build a very hands-on environment so you can test, implement and deploy solutions
