AI agents are now taking on an increasing number of autonomous tasks, ranging from automated processes to accessing corporate systems. MAIA stands for ‘Managed AI Agent’ and describes IDABUS’s approach to integrating AI agents into business processes in a secure, controlled and compliant manner.
If you would like to find out more about MAIA, you will find a detailed article on our website about our Managed AI Agent approach, ‘Managing AI Agents with IDABUS’. However, the increasing use of AI agents is also giving rise to new requirements in terms of security and governance.
This is precisely where Privileged Access Management (PAM) plays a key role. Rather than granting an AI agent extensive, permanent access rights, permissions are granted only on a temporary and targeted basis. This ‘just-in-time’ principle ensures that MAIA is granted access only when it is actually needed, for example for a specific process or a defined task.
Once the specified time has elapsed, the permissions are automatically revoked. This significantly reduces security risks and ensures that access remains traceable and auditable at all times.
With IDABUS’s MAIA approach, AI agents are managed as independent digital identities, including controlled rights management, governance and compliance. This creates a secure foundation for the productive use of AI agents in modern businesses.
